BioHaven® advanced floating treatment wetlands mimic floating bogs created by nature. Covered with native plant species, they create a beautiful, natural, and sustainable ecosystem that cleans water and restores habitat.

14 floating islands were installed in Bee Branch in Dubuque, Iowa. The islands were installed to help restore wetland wildlife as well as reduce excess nutrients and sediment before the water entered the Mississippi River.

One of our recent installations took place in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. We installed 3 floating islands in a small neighborhood pond to improve water quality and provide additional area for wetland habitat such as turtles.

One of our recent installations took place in Oak Creek. We installed 3 floating islands in Oak Creek to help improve water quality in a storm water pond before it entered Lake Michigan.

We had a project with Rochester Public Works, installing our BioHaven® Floating Treatment Wetlands in stormwater ponds in Rochester, MN.

The video below explains the process of anchoring our island and the chemical reactions that occur underneath the island.

This video highlights using native plants on floating islands to reduce harmful algae blooms and improve fish habitats in a lake in Kansas.
