Island Protection in Minnesota

Midwest Floating Island, MFI, began production of floating wetlands right here in “The Land of Lakes”. Minnesota is know for being the “land of 10,000 lakes” making it the perfect location for the manufacturing of floating islands. However, most of our lakes and ponds have poor water quality due to pesticides, run-off, salt in the winter, animal waste, and more. Floating Islands work to provide protection of our water bodies and improve water quality and habitat with a more natural approach. With state-of-the-art ureathane foaming equipment and a production facility in Saint Paul, MN the company is ready to meet the needs for this exciting new technology. As the name implies, MFI will supply islands and island modules to the Midwest region (Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan and more) with low-cost shipment and short leadtimes. MFI stands ready to provide islands from 25 square foot up to several acres in size with modular construction. The production facility of MFI is located within the 200,000 square foot factory of the affiliated company, Bro-Tex, Inc.
